Well hello world from Chocolate Towers, home of The Chocolate Library. For over two years a little idea has been gently hatching and now the time has come to share. The concept behind The Chocolate Library is simple – we use chocolate as the messenger. Why? Well, the real truth is as the founder of the company, I love typography and I love chocolate. Many moons ago it crossed my mind that I might not be the only one, and sure enough I have found that I’m not.
From our base in Edinburgh, UK, much chocolate tasting has taken place (all in the name of research you understand!). We have now found exceptionally good creamy Belgian chocolate for our main lines that is totally more-ish and went down really well when tested it at this year’s Spring Fair trade show at Birmingham’s NEC. We have also sourced a fantastic UK-based manufacturer too – who can make smaller batches and all sorts of bespoke chocolately goodies to order.
With the chocolate in place, we can now concentrate on doing what we do best – having fun growing a collection of design-led chocolate bars that we like and hope you do too.
The purpose for this blog is to share what we are up to with chocolate lovers, typography geeks, in fact anyone who likes our concept and is intrigued to see what we get up to next.
Speaking of which, this week we have an extra special treat for anyone who is completing the London Marathon this Sunday. Watch this space..
